A smiling face is a beautiful face. Despite the hardships of life in Ladakh this old women had a great attitude towards life. Even as she carried heavy load on her back, she stopped in her tracks, looked at us, smiled and responded to us with a counter ‘julley‘.

Gurgling glacial stream, lush trees with their leaves shivering ever so slightly in the cool, crisp mountain breeze, mountains – casting an illusion of seeming far away and yet within hand’s reach – obscured by dreamy haze.
