World Oceans Day: Must-see Ocean Documentaries

How beautiful the oceans and seas make our planet look from above. The first time I had flown over the Bay of Bengal which is the northeastern part of the Indian Ocean, I was stunned to look down at the cool blue expanse dotted with islands. Here’s a tiny video clip of what I saw that day.

World Migratory Bird Day – a relatable day for every bird lover. Though, for a birder, every day is a bird day.

May 8th is celebrated globally as Migratory Bird Day, to raise awareness and a need to conserve these winter visitors some of whom even fly hundreds of thousands of kilometers.

Something beautiful happened! Though I walked/jogged around the same track almost every day, it was only this day that I noticed a nest when a beautiful sunbird flew out of it! Home of a sunbird!

Advice from a Sunflower

With the cold winters gone, the days are getting longer (and hotter). It’s good in a way, at least for the plants in my little (balcony) garden. Having planted some daisies, looking forward to a warm weather helping my plants grow well.

The track where I walk/run has been surprising me with something new every time (when I quit being lazy and step out that is). For a while now that life is slowed down, I, like many others, have been noticing things around leisurely. The natural world manages to amaze me every single time.
