The incredible people of Ladakh, helping and guiding us to safely wade through the intimidating Zanskar River. Frozen during the winter, the river used to be the only means of connecting the valley people of remote Zanskar Valley with the rest of Ladakh.

Chadar by far remains my most favourite trek. Walking over the frozen Zanskar river is not something you usually do on treks. The trek itself was packed with challenges – in every possible terms (the average temperature even during the day time is -21°C) along with infinite beauty and thrill.
