The heart melts as the melting snow, slow and careful
Reminiscing the cool warmth of the winter sun
But in the shadows of a lone tree,
Somewhere far away in the mountains
The snow is still fresh and unmelted,
Hiding away from the mellow sunshine
Yesterday it snowed in the mountains
It seeped through the hollow of the tree trunk,
And poured out of the broken branch,
Flowing out into a snowy waterfall, a divine art.
Don’t walk on it, for it is so pretty
Pause a bit, if you pass that way
For it won’t stay the same when it snows again.
